Crunchy Granola
1 ½ cups brown sugar
½ cup water
4 teaspoons vanilla extract
½ teaspoon salt
8 cups rolled oats
¾ cup pecans, coarsely chopped
¾ cup almonds, coarsely chopped
½ cup sunflower seeds, unsalted
½ cup shredded coconut
dried fruits, if desired (tropical fruit is good, raisins, blueberries, cranberries, cherries are all great.)
Modification below could also work. After you make it in the oven you could also dehydrate it to make sure that all moisture is out of it & put it in your food storage.

1/2 teaspoon salt
6 cups rolled oats
2 cups rolled wheat
1 Tblsp crushed chia seeds
1 Tblsp crushed amaranth seeds
2 tsp cinnamon
